progress on Kira Road and Kabira Junction The Contractor is working on the snagged items. Landscaping; top soiling & grassing are in progress along Kabira and the Physical progress stands at 95.9% & 99.0% for Kira & Kabira respectively.
Progress on Mambule road & Bwaise junction Relocation of utilities; relocation of NWSC is substantially complete. Drainage works; construction of the wing wall at the outlet of the 3 cell cross culvert is in progress around Tusky’s and Physical progress stands at 62.2%. Earthworks; rock fill is complete in this section Pavement works; these are 90% complete. Subbase is complete on Mambule. Bituminous works; this is 80% complete. Pending sections include 120m on Mambule, Nabweru RHS & a few sections on the Bombo arm. Street lighting; installation of streetlights is in progress around Bwaise junction. Traffic signals; construction of the last junction pit & controller house are in progress.
Progress on Makerere hill road 1) Drainage works; installation of culverts around MUK main gate & Sir Apollo Kaggwa junction are in progress. 2) Pavement works; processing of subbase is in progress from Wandegeya to Jjunju road RHS. 3) Bituminous works; laying of asphalt is in progress from Gadaffi road to Kyadondo road LHS. 4) Relocation of Makerere main gate; shuttering of the columns & back-filling are in progress and the overall physical progress stands at 31.8%
Physical Progress on Bakuli-Nakulabye-Kasubi Relocation of utilities; the relocation for both NWSC & UMEME are in progress. Drainage; installation of culverts is in progress between Kyadondo & Nakulabye LHS.
Works Supervising Consultant – Batch 1  The supervising consultant is supervising infrastructural works along Makerere Hill road, Kira road & Kabira junction, Mambule road, Bwaise junction & sections of Bakuli-Nakulabye-Kasubi.  The Consultant submitted Fee note No. 11 that has been processed & submitted for payment.
Contractor for the Batch 1 roads and junctions.  The Contractor’s IPC No. 11 is processed.
Overall Physical progress Overall physical progress is at 43.6%, with 72% of the project duration elapsed.
Progress on Fairway junction Physical progress stands at 99.9%  The Contractor is working on the snagged items; Casting of the foundation for the high mast is in progress. Road studs have been installed at the pedestrian crossings.
Progress on Kira Road and Kabira Junction Physical progress stands at 96.5% & 99.5% for Kira & Kabira respectively.  The Contractor is working on the snagged items. Landscaping; grassing is substantially complete along Kabira. The subcontractor is yet to start tree planting.
Progress on Mambule road & Bwaise junction Physical progress stands at 86.8% & 82.5% for Mambule & Bwaise respectively.  Drainage works; construction of the wing wall at the inlet of the 3 cell cross culvert is in progress around Tusky’s.  Modification of the islands along Bombo & Nabweru arms; reduction of these are in progress to create wider lanes.  Street lighting; installation of streetlights is substantially complete along Bombo arm & Mambule.
Progress on Makerere Hill Road Physical progress stands at 36%.  Drainage works; installation of culverts is in progress between Sir Apollo Kaggwa & Nakulabye RHS. 250m have been installed so far.  Earthworks; subgrade is being processed along MUK main gate entrance.  Pavement works; processing of base is in progress from Wandegeya to Gaddafi junction RHS.  Relocation of Makerere main gate; the middle columns for the canopy have been cast.  Challenges at the site include; a soak pit & septic tank within the road extents on the LHS between Sir Apollo Kaggwa & Nakulabye.
Progress on Bakuli-Nakulabye-Kasubi Physical progress stands at 0.7%.  Relocation of utilities; the relocation for both NWSC & UMEME are in progress.  Drainage; installation of culverts is in progress around Nakulabye junction & Balintuma road LHS.  Challenge at this site; delayed acquisition of right of way from Bakuli to Kyadondo & pending compensation within the already handed over sections, which is most likely to attract more claims from the Contractor.
